About the show
Every weekday at 08:00, Johnny Donnelly drops the needle on two full sides of vinyl and reads Harbor Bay awake. Side A is always a harbor record — pressed, played or beloved within the city. Side B travels anywhere the morning needs to go.
Between the sides: ferry times, school notices, fish-market prices and calls from listeners crossing the bridge. It is the gentlest wake-up on the dial, and the show our audience quotes back to us most.
What's inside every episode
- Side A — Harbor Pressing — a full side of a record with roots in the city.
- The Crossing Report — ferries, bridges and traffic, read live with the dispatchers.
- Side B — Anywhere — jazz, soul, country or classical, chosen for the weather.
- Ferry-Line Requests — dedications called in from the morning boats.
