The voice of the Bayview blocks
Kathrina Glass grew up two streets from the Bayview courts and learned to mix on borrowed decks at the community center. Nine seasons into the Bayview Hip-Hop Hour, she remains the show's founder, selector and fiercest defender of harbor-made rap.
Her Club Matinee weekend sessions are famous for breaking local records months before the rest of the city catches on. Producers send her demos the way sailors send postcards — constantly, and from everywhere.
On-air style
- Fast, warm and encyclopedic — she knows every sample's second cousin.
- Live freestyle Fridays with the cipher open to the whole room.
- Zero tolerance for skipping a harbor demo unread.

Listener questions
Through the contact page with "Demo for Kathrina" in the message. MP3 plus one paragraph about where it was made — she answers everything within a week.
Fridays, Pier 9, by 17:30. Sixteen bars, clean enough for the drive-time replay, judged by applause alone.
