The longest-running independent harbor festival is getting bigger. Organizers confirmed this week that Harbor Sound Fest will add three new stages this summer: a second main stage on the north pier, an all-acoustic lighthouse stage, and a late-night electronic tent wired directly into our own broadcast booth.
Harborlight Radio will broadcast live from the pier across all three days, with Kathrina Glass opening the north pier stage and Tracy Rivers closing the electronic tent each night. More than forty harbor acts are on the first lineup poster, alongside a dozen touring bands the bookers coaxed off the ferry route.
What the new stages change
The north pier stage doubles capacity for the Saturday headline slot, which sold out in hours last year. The lighthouse stage seats just two hundred — strictly unplugged, strictly seated, with the harbor audible between songs. And the electronic tent finally gives the city's synth scene a room with a real soundsystem.
Weekend tickets go on sale Friday morning. Our advice, earned over ten summers of sold-out Sundays: buy the weekend pass, bring a jacket, and plan your last ferry home before the final encore.
